Navigating your finances during menopause
Brain fog. Confidence wobbles. Career changes. Caring responsibilities. Menopause can affect every part of life, including your finances.
Menopause Money is here to help you feel more confident with your money and make informed financial decisions, one step at a time.

Money isn't just about numbers
We often talk about the physical symptoms of menopause, but not enough about what it can mean for our financial wellbeing. Perhaps you've cut your hours because you're exhausted. Maybe you've started questioning your career, put off looking at your pension, or found yourself spending differently without really knowing why.
You're not alone, and you're certainly not "bad with money." Money confidence can change during menopause, just as confidence in other areas of life can.
I aim to provide straightforward financial education, practical guidance and a supportive community to help you feel more in control of your financial future.

About Menopause Money
I've started the conversation around menopause and money because no one else is.
The conversation around menopause has grown in momentum in recent years, and quite rightly so. We're talking more about symptoms, HRT, brain fog, sleep (or lack of it), confidence, and how it affects our careers and relationships. But when it comes to money, it goes very, very quiet.
And yet, the menopause years can be financially significant. They often land right in the middle of some of the most pressured years of our lives. We might be at the peak of our careers, or stepping back from them. Supporting children. Caring for ageing parents. Paying down mortgages. Facing divorce. Rethinking work. Questioning what's next.
What I found surprising was that, despite working in financial services for many years, these conversations weren't happening. Women were talking about hot flushes and hormone changes, but not about the financial decisions they were putting off. They weren't talking about the cost of reducing their hours, the impact of taking a career break, or whether they still felt confident making long-term financial plans. Yet these are some of the biggest financial decisions many of us will ever make.
That's why I started Menopause Money. Not because I have all the answers, but because I believe we need to start asking the right questions. How does menopause affect the way we think about money? What happens when symptoms begin to impact our careers or our income? How do we keep our long-term financial goals on track when life suddenly looks different? These conversations deserve a place alongside every other conversation we're now having about menopause.
My hope is that Menopause Money becomes somewhere women can find straightforward financial education, practical resources and honest conversations, so they feel better informed to make the decisions that are right for them.

How Can Menopause Money Support You Right Now?
Menopause can affect far more than your sleep, energy or confidence. For many women, it can also have a surprising impact on the way they think and feel about money.
You might be putting off looking at your pension, making more impulse purchases than usual, avoiding financial decisions, or simply feeling less confident about managing your finances than you once did.
If any of that sounds familiar, you're not alone.
Our short questionnaire takes just a couple of minutes to complete and will help us better understand the financial challenges women are facing during menopause. Your answers will help shape the articles, resources and support we create, ensuring they're practical, reassuring and focused on the topics that matter most to you.
